We want to hear from you! Mark your calendars for the parish Synod Sessions taking place in May!
In preparation for our parish Synod Sessions that will take place next month, let us reflect upon the Pastoral Perspectives communication to date. Over the past eight weeks, we did our best to communicate our mission as St. Joseph the Worker Parish, our current parish realities, and the ways in which we need to be good stewards of our parish resources. Led by Father Michael and the Facilities Mission Team, we are currently assessing what buildings we need to best serve the parish for mission and evangelization well into the future. Throughout this process, it is very important that we hear from you and gather feedback. Father Michael is seeking the input of parishioners to help him make the best decisions for the use of our facilities moving forward. We invite you to join us and share your thoughts and feedback as together we continue to discern our future as St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend ONE of the two parish synods taking place in May:
Sunday, May 18 at St. Jude at 1:00 pm
Thursday, May 22 at St. John Fisher at 7:00 pm
Facts and information will be shared on our parish pastoral plan, finances, maintenance needs, and the challenges surrounding our many parish buildings. There will also be time for you to share your thoughts and questions at small group tables while reflecting upon our shared identity, mission, and the vibrant faith community of St. Joseph the Worker Parish that we continue to build together. To best accommodate attendees, please register for the parish synod session you will attend by calling the parish office at 412.271.0809, visiting the parish website, or scanning the attached QR Code. Both parish synods will provide the same information on different dates and locations. Please let us know which synod session you will attend by Sunday, May 11, so we can plan accordingly.
