St. Joseph The Worker Parish is the result of the merger of ‘eight great churches’ of the East.
St. Joseph the Worker began on May 1st, 2020. The eight great churches were the result of
previous parish consolidations in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. If we go back to the earliest
parishes within the area of the present day St. Joseph the Worker, combined with the recent
consolidations, the number of parishes jumps to twenty-two. The history of St. Joseph the
Worker is abundantly rich. In order to begin documenting the history of St. Joseph the Worker,
the parish website is listing the Pastors of all the previous parishes. The website will also
include the religious communities that have ministered in the same geographical area.
