Over the course of the year, our RCIA team meets each week to prepare our candidates and catechumen to become full members of the Catholic Church. We begin our session by opening the Word of God and reading the Sunday gospel together and discussing these precious words that God is placing on our hearts. After our prayer, we have a speaker present a different topic to the group. Each of these sessions are designed to help educate our candidates, allowing them the opportunity to learn and grow in their faith and ultimately to grow closer to God. We are blessed with an amazing team that is with us each week ... Cece Stack, Paul Osterman, Mike Matthysse, Anthony DelloStritto, Shari Smith and Stephanie DelloStritto. We are also fortunate to have an amazing Clergy Team and individuals from our Parish who generously share their knowledge and love of God with our team. Thank you to Fathers Frank, Martin, Ken and Casisan, Deacons Herb, Joe, Jeff and Keith who pray with us and for us each week. In addition to these two indispensable groups, we have many folks from the Parish who are also helping and teaching... Dante Romito, Deacon Ron Demblowski, David Kirkland, Michele Prior, Karen Goldbach and Michael Burke, Sue Buchholz, Cheryl Riley and Jim Macek. It certainly takes a village to have a successful RCIA team and we are enormously blessed with our St. Joseph the Worker Village. Thank you all and may God continue to bless you and your ministry! If you know of a person who is interested in coming into the Catholic Church or would like to receive their Sacraments, please contact Cheryl Kirkland at 412-351-6710 for more information.
