The Swissvale Knights of Columbus, All Saints Council No. 6118, have hosted an annual Epiphany Party for area Exceptional Adults (special needs adults with various developmental & physical challenges) for over 30 years. It was begun by late Knights Paul Chaousy & Ross Cioppa.
Our Knights host our guests, as well as their caregivers or family members. We serve lunch, cake, ice cream and drinks, and we sing songs and play games with our guests. The highlight of the day is a visit from Santa, assisted by Michael the Elf, who gives small gifts to each of our guests and their caregivers. The party gives our brother Knights an opportunity to spend time talking with our guests, who are witty, happy and loving people who enrich our lives.
Our guests come from our parish, as well as from area Mainstay Life Services homes. Mainstay Life Services provides life-long, high-quality support services, ensuring that people with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives and realize their vision of a desirable future. People with developmental disabilities live within a community that sustains them and benefits from their participation.
The party will be held on January 5, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM in Datillo Hall at Madonna del Castello Church. The party is provided AT NO COST TO OUR GUESTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
We are inviting all our Parish’s special needs adults & their families to this year’s party!
If you know any exceptional adults who would like to attend our party this year, please contact the Knights by emailing [email protected].
