At Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, we are committed to being a missional community, actively engaged in living and sharing the Gospel. As Pope Francis reminds us, “The parish is the presence of the Church in a given territory, an environment for hearing God’s word, for growth in the Christian life, for dialogue, proclamation, charitable outreach, worship and celebration.” (Evangelii Gaudium, 28). This mission is only possible when every parishioner is actively participating in the life of the parish.
We believe that each person has unique gifts to share, and our expectation is that every member of our parish community is involved in some aspect of parish life. Ministries provide the simplest and most fulfilling way to do this. From serving at the altar to supporting outreach programs, there is a place for everyone to contribute.
Below, you will find a comprehensive list of our ministries, divided into six key areas:
Faith Formation and Spiritual Growth: Opportunities to deepen your relationship with Christ and grow in your Catholic faith.
Fellowship and Community Groups: Connect with fellow parishioners through social and spiritual gatherings.
Service and Outreach Ministries: Extend the love of Christ to those in need through various outreach initiatives.
Support and Healing Ministries: Find comfort, guidance, and support through ministries that address specific life challenges.
Parish Ministries: Volunteer to assist with administrative, maintenance, or community events that keep our parish vibrant.
Liturgical Ministries: Participate in the sacred work of the liturgy as a lector, altar server, musician, or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Each ministry listed below includes contact information for the ministry leader, who can provide more information on how to get involved. Your gifts are needed here, and we welcome you to join us in building a stronger, more missional parish community.
