The Saint Joseph the Worker Live-Streaming Ministry is hosted on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com@sjwpitt
Started in the spring of 2020 under the auspices of the Music Ministry, it was originally intended to provide a means for parishioners unable to attend the Mass in person due to restrictions on public gatherings during the pandemic to remain connected with the parish.
Since then, it has become a vital Ministry and lifeline to our shut-in parishioners and others in the community who cannot physically attend the Liturgy but still wish to participate in the life of the Parish.
As of June of 2024, our YouTube channel has nearly 1200 subscribers, (and about 4000 views per month) - and not just parishioners. Subscribers have been identified as coming from across the Diocese, across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, many other US States, and also international locations in Europe and Africa.
In addition to the live-streaming of our Sunday and Daily Liturgies, we provide online access to important messages from our Pastor, other special liturgies, concerts of various types performed by our choirs and talented musicians, and faith education presentations by our clergy and parish staff.
The Director of Live-Stream Ministry is Michael Burke, who since 2020, has been responsible for developing and managing the Parish's Live-Streaming program under the auspices of the Music Ministry with the help of the dedicated members of the "Stream-Team."
